Part 1: Tutorial: Cropping to keep Aspect Ratio of Photographs
Part 2: Tutorial: Showing 4 different approaches to cropping in a Word Document (see below)
Cropping is an important tool that does more than just cut out unwanted elements from your photo. REQUIRED
1. Crop unwanted or unnecessary things from your photo.
2. Avoid the “BULL'S EYE” Crop an image so that the main subject is in the “Rule of Thirds” area.
3. Find the picture inside the picture. Crop the photo so that you create interesting negative space and focus on the shape of the subject matter
4. Crop the photo so that you change the orientation (vertical or horizontal) of the image.
Word Document: Crop photos using the guidelines above an insert the before and after images into the Word document. Try to use the method in the tutorial below so that you keep the aspect ratio (proportions) of the original photograph. Your word document will show 4 different cropping methods with before and after and labeled.
Turn in to Dropbox when complete.
