Assignment: Google Doodles

8/30/2016

Create a Google Doodle in two ways: Digital (on the computer) and Analog (by hand using traditional art materials). This will become the first art that is posted to your new website after you create that.
  1. Brainstorming/sketching: Create a page of sketches on possible Google Doodle design solutions incorporating a theme.
  2. 1 analog GD using colored pencils, markers, etc.
  3. 1 digital GD using any program that you know how to use
This project will tell me a lot about your artistic style and previous learning. I will be grading you on the apparent effort you put into the project and your timely completion of the two "Doodles".

Digital doodle: Use whatever program that we have on the computers and that you already have a basic idea of how to use. Start with an 11" x 8.5 page orientation (horizontal) so that you can make your design as large as possible on the page. You may use images from the internet, text, and drawings you create in the programs if that is what you want.

Analog doodle: Using paper as a base, design and draw your Google Doodle. You may use any dry materials we have in the classroom such as colored pencils, markers, your own sharpies, or collage. Make your design as large as possible on the page.

Milestone Deadline:  September, 15
